Mission and History
A global platform
My Lordship is currently an official and legal entity of Guernsey. I also guide it towards a cultural renewal that adheres to tradition. With me, it becomes an entity dedicated to being recognized globally as a platform for sharing some of the contemporary inner practices of the knights of the Grail, Alchemy, and Spiritual Chivalry, while simultaneously maintaining its commitment to the island. I also personnally maintain another website, www.marcoparet.com, more focused on personal development techniques. I want to use my historical role to guide individuals on a personal journey toward unlocking their quintessence, emphasizing the foundational practices of presence in action and self-awareness.
I want to use my historical role to guide individuals on a personal journey toward unlocking their quintessence, emphasizing the foundational practices of presence in action and self-awareness. The fief of Anneville represents a physical basis for gathering some inner traditions in which I was initiated. Through this, I aim to guide interested individuals through the path hidden in the second continuation of the Perceval . A western path to enlightment that resonates with our history. It is an "aristocratic tradition": a set of practices, rituals, and knowledge that are preserved and participated in by a select group of individuals who are deeply committed to a particular path or discipline. Very distinct from mass-market or popular traditions, which are designed to be accessible and appealing to the general public.
In the manner of ancient lordships, which convened alchemical circles, we too follow this venerable tradition
A bit of history - Sampson d'Anneville liberator of Guernsey
In the mid-eleventh century, when Guernsey waters became turbulent with the menace of pirates, Duke William of Normandy (destined to be the Conqueror) entrusted his loyal Esquire, Sampson d'Anneville, with the task of vanquishing these marauders. The d'Anneville and his followers embodied the same values of the very tradition that inspired the Grail legend.
As a token of gratitude, in 1061, Duke William bestowed upon Sampson the western half of the island under the illustrious title of Fief d'Anneville. Embracing his new dominion, Sampson beckoned settlers from Normandy to join him in forging a feudal estate amidst Guernsey's rugged beauty. Duke William, in turn, granted the verdant lands of Guernsey to other Norman nobles, seeding estates like Sausmarez, Les Bruniaux de St. Martin, Mauxmarquis, Rohais, and more. Guernsey flourished, soon partitioning into distinct parishes. Each free fief established its manorial court to arbitrate disputes among tenants. The Abbot of St. Michael and the Seigneur d'Anneville were endowed respectively with the privilege to try and render justice unto criminals. Thus, the civil fabric of Guernsey was meticulously crafted even before the Norman conquest of England and Anneville was one of the founding stones.
The original Seigneurs of Guernsey were the at the basis of modern-day Guernsey. They continue to be officially recognized as historical (and traditional) authorities, with a rare privilege to represent in the Channel Islands' Royal Court of Chief Pleas. Among the Guernsey Seigneurs, fewer than 10 private Seigneurs enjoy this esteemed hereditary right.
Legacy of knowledge
This officiality is highly significative and almost unique in the world. Yet, there's more—a legacy of knowledge that I am honored to uphold. My research has revealed that the lineage of Anneville, mirrored through our heraldry and etymology, serves as a bridge to the era of the Grail Tradition and its enduring values and symbolism. It connects also to the templar tradition. This historical narrative aligns with the profound inner teachings I have unveiled. It leads to enrich the Seigneurie's original tradition with an accessible path that bridges ancient wisdom with modern explorations of inner alchemy and transformative states of consciousness, areas in which I hold expertise and on which I work through several organization as the Foundation BIA recognized in Bulgaria of public interest and in Italy as Popular University. It helps also to create a center for exellence based in Guernsey
I am therefore happy to see how now our institution captivates both history enthusiasts in Guernsey, and also seekers all around the world of the real practical meaning behind Grail mysteries, people that want to find the real Grail inside themselves and in their life and uncover practical applications of timeless traditions in adressing today's challenges. All are united by a quest for a more profound perspective on life, one that prioritizes genuine values and quality of life. As the current Lord, I endeavor to align with this quest, enriching it with my extensive knowledge about this transformative path. I am authoritative in this field as I am representative of different lineages including a templar one, a very secret rose-cross ones and various alchemical traditions.
We have scanned many documents and established a digital library for the fief, which houses a myriad of rare documents. These documents not only epitomize the rich history of the fief but also include rare alchemical texts, unpublished materials on animal magnetism, and documents from various secret traditions, serving as a treasure trove of knowledge for the curious and the scholarly alike.
The Seigneurie of Anneville is one of the few links still existing and operating of an ancient Grail Brotherhood born during the crusades, and on its site offers a living bridge giving a roadmap to inner teachings related to the initiatic tradition of chivalry (spiritual chivalry), connects to the basis of the templar legacy, and a search for the absolute and truth and an alternative lifestyle that provides a haven from the fast-paced modern world.
As we are in the Channel Islands—a region renowned for its historical depth and tranquility—we are in the perfect place for safeguarding these time-honored traditions. Moreover, it serves as a beacon promoting a unique way of life, not just in Guernsey but globally, enriched by a synergy with modern transformative techniques, a synergy that reflects a seamless fusion of historical legacy and contemporary insight.
Our presence in the esteemed Royal Court of Chief Pleas confirms both the legal integrity and the enduring cultural importance of the Seigneurie and Fief of Anneville. The Court remains devoted to the preservation and promotion of the unique rights and customs that both define and ennoble us, thus ensuring our seamless integration into Guernsey's multifaceted heritage and identity.
Work with us to keep our ancient Norman traditions significant and relevant today.

Further on my Mission
I am Dr. Marco Paret, and I am honored to be part of the Norman community of Guernsey as the official custodian of a Seigneurie and fief, a unique and invaluable heritage that is deeply rooted in the Norman island of Guernsey, a state still recognizing it. This centuries-old Seigneurie and fief continue to thrive and operate into the 21st century, preserving the honors and dignities that have been upheld for 960 years, with a significant connection to spiritual chivalry. The lordship includes still now rights on the Manor and a broad array of ancient rights. The privilege of possessing such a fief and its profound legacy both astonishes and humbles me. The Seigneurie of Anneville stands as a state-recognized Norman institution with a rich tapestry of 960 documented years of history (see below), sprawling across numerous acres, and has significantly molded Guernsey's social, legal, and cultural landscape. It is among the island's oldest and most esteemed establishments.
The essence of holding Anneville lies in delving into its history and reviving through it the Norman and the chivalric traditions. Through my expertise, I have unearthed knowledge and inner secrets, empowering me to enrich the legacy of the Seigneurie d'Anneville further and make it an international home for people desiring to delve in the traditions that are also at the begin of Anneville. This endeavor serves a dual purpose: aiding Guernsey in rekindling its roots, that is my role in Guernsey, and offering the world insights that can spark the inner Grail of growth within each individual. This mission has always driven me. Personnally I hold also the manor of Ivanhoe (Ivinghoe) in UK wich resonates also about chivalry. Anneville works synergically with it to develop a platform fro the passionate of the inner sense of chivalric search.
What I hold is not merely a legacy; it is a mission where I have put my knowledge and my skills. As I have a title with cultural and historic relevance still invested with my powers as Seigneur, it allows me to even establish a Priory on the lands within my fief. So, I have decided that the Seigneurie should serve as an international platform, a high priory, for those who are deeply committed to the study and exploration of the inner Grail, Alchemy, and related traditions. In doing so, they will be able to connect directly with an institution that is rooted in the same ancient practices. And I myself I am in first line on it. In undertaking this mission, I find myself in harmony with the original chivalric tradition in which I was also initiated and on which I have done researches that have put me in contact to a very interesting tradition of "western kundalini" for the first time openly described in this site
Moreover, it is to not that Guernsey is an island that was the home of Victor Hugo, a man deeply invested in probing the depths of the human soul. His presence on the island adds another layer of mystical and intellectual richness, making Guernsey not just a geographical location but a crossroads of various spiritual, cultural, and intellectual currents
